On Sunday evening, March 1, the Orthodox communities in Central Iowa gathered for the celebration of the Triumph of Orthodoxy at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Ames.  Five parishes were represented – Holy Transfiguration, Ames; St. Demetrius, Des Moines; St. George, Des Moines; St. John the Wonderworker, Des Moines; and St. Nicholas in Pella.
