Orthodox Icon Workshop – Ames, Iowa
Orthodox Icon Workshop coming to Ames!
With the blessing of Archbishop Alexander of Toledo and the Bulgarian Diocese, the faithful at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, in conjunction with the Orthodox Christian Fellowship at Iowa State University, is offering an introductory course in creating Icons. Participants will complete an Icon of St. Michael the Archangel, using traditional egg tempera methods.

REGISTRATION LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS
The instructor will be Very Reverend Theophan Mackey, Iconographer and Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary, and rector at St. Job of Pochaev Orthodox Church in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Lunch is available to be delivered to the classroom, or there are many restaurant options immediately adjacent to the Iowa State University Central Campus, where the class will be held. Accommodations are available at one of the many hotels or AirB&Bs in the Ames area, if such accommodations are needed.
